The Asia Pacific Insurance Conference is run by a not for profit organising body. The committee has world wide linkages of the AIDA associations and is currently putting together a conference with topical relevant content delivered by experts in their field. The insurance context of this conference will be responsible for giving clear legal, regulatory, and operational insights to future pathways.

The Asia Pacific Insurance Conference is also supported by the following associations, all of which have members on the organising committee.

The Australian Insurance Law Association (AILA) is proud to be associated with the inaugural Asia Pacific Insurance Conference (APIC) being held in Singapore in October 2017. The conference is the result of the collaboration between a number of international insurance law associations including AILA, the Association Internationale de Droit des Assurances (AIDA), the New Zealand Insurance Law Association (NZILA), the Federation of Defence and Corporate Counsel (FDCC) in USA and the Hong Kong and Singapore Insurance Law Association’s.

The educational program embraces subjects and speakers with a strong Asia-Pacific focus. It includes topics of universal interest in insurance law attracting high calibre international speakers. In addition to a strong educational program there will be a number of networking opportunities.

The APIC is commended to insurance practitioners from all sectors of the industry given the broad appeal of the program and opportunity to network with insurance professionals from around the world.

The Insurance Law Association Singapore (ILAS) is proud to announce that we are working closely with related international chapters of AIDA to organise this inaugural Asia Pacific Insurance Conference (APIC) scheduled to be held in Singapore from 18-20 October 2017.

The event will highlight and oversee efforts and inputs from related organisations located in Asia, Australia and New Zeland with the FDCC from the United States – introducing well-known speakers and industry leaders who will deliberate insurance law & related issues over the three days here in Singapore.

We call upon ILAS members and insurance personnel from Singapore and the region to participate in this inaugural event. APIC is expected to see 300 over delegates attending the programme and there will be good networking opportunities.

On behalf of ILAS, I wish to record our commendation and support for the event.

Lloyd’s would like to congratulate the organising committee of the Asia Pacific Insurance Conference for creating a robust educational and thought provoking programme for its 2017 conference in Singapore.

As an industry we must embrace the challenges facing this region and together look for solutions to resolve the under-insurance problem which leaves vulnerable communities exposed to natural disasters. The conference, with its top international speakers and networking opportunities, should provide insurance practitioners a forum for idea generation and engaging discussions.

We wish APIC a most successful conference.

Chief Executive Officer

This conference will be the pre-eminent international gathering in the Asia Pacific region for insurance professionals and insurance lawyers alike and will provide unmatched networking opportunities.

The inaugural Asia Pacific Insurance Conference in Singapore this October offers an unsurpassed opportunity for all those interested in insurance, insurance law and regulation, to meet in one of the most vibrant and important insurance centers in the world. The Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel is delighted to be associated with this event which is the result of a close working relationship between the FDCC, AIDA and AIDA’s associated organizations in the Pacific Rim region. Our support for this meeting represents a further step in the international expansion of our associations.

I encourage FDCC members to gather in Singapore and experience an exceptional professional and social program. This is a great opportunity to meet and network with like minded colleagues from around the world, as well as other FDCC members.

Sponsorships are also being offered. Please visit the conference website at www.apicinsuranceconference.com for a list of opportunities. Among other offerings, we have arranged for $1,500 firm sponsorships which will allow you to display your firm logo’s on all marketing materials and on the program materials provided at the conference.

Singapore, as many of you may know, is a staging point for business and travel in Asia. Come early, or stay on and enjoy the experience of the Far East and all the delights it has to offer. For many of our United States FDCC members who have never visited the region, this is an ideal opportunity to expand your contacts in the Asian insurance market.

We look forward to seeing many of you in October.

With warm regards,
H. Mills Gallivan
